Battery Management System
Each eRun Lithium battery has a built-in 200 amp Battery Management System (BMS). The BMS provides overcharge protection, over-discharge protection, over-heat protection, and cell balancing. If the BMS detects a short circuit anywhere in the golf cart the battery will automatically shut down. The BMS also provides Bluetooth connectivity for diagnosis and monotoring. Bluetooth also makes it possible for firmware updates. Thanks to the sophistication of the BMS, eRun batteries are 100% safe, fire proof and otherwise goof-proof. The battery cannot be abused.

Long Life
The factory claims that the battery will deliver more than 95% of its original capacity for 9000 charge cycles. Charging your battery after a round of golf equals about 35% of a charge cycle. Do the math, if you play golf 2.5 times per week that's only 1 charge cycle.

eRun batteries are manufactured according to my specifications, which is superior to those of RoyPal lithium batteries. RoyPal is the foremost provider of replacement lithium golf cart batteries in the United States. The eRun battery cells are manufactured at the same facility. I have ordered approximately 500 batteries over the past five years.

I've asked two local lead/acid suppliers (Hole-in-One and Affordable Golf Carts) to inquire about their prices. Their prices for six new 48-volt Trojan T875 batteries, including delivery, installation, new cables, and sales tax, total approximately $1650. Just $350 more to go lithium
3. LENGTH / LIFE OF CONVENTION BATTERIES VS. LITHIUM BATTERIES:
How long do Lithium Batteries last vs. Conventional Batteries?
The eRun battery has a life expectancy of 15-years. Trojan lead acid batteries will last 4-5 years. The amount of "use” has very little to do with the length of battery life. Batteries that are used regularly often last longer than the batteries that are used seasonally.
The eRun lithium battery has 9000 charge cycles. One cycle is all the way empty to all way full. I provide a volt meter that you can use as a guide for when you need to charge the battery. There is NO memory effect so charging after every use does not matter. Lithium batteries charge in about 1/2 of the time it takes to charge lead/acid batteries. Therefore 1/2 the cost to charge a lithium battery. It costs about $1 to charge lead/acid batteries.

Six lead/acid batteries weigh about 360 pounds. A lithium battery weighs about 80 pounds.

I take your old batteries. About once a month I send them to a recycler in Miami. The chemical composition of my batteries is LiFePO4. They are recyclable and fireproof.
